Travel by train
I do enjoy long train rides when I’m overseas. You get to see so much more of a country by train than you would when travelling by plane, observing details that you otherwise couldn’t. Even though you’re objectively hurtling along metal tracks, on a train journey, time just seems to slow down. Slow enough for you to watch the country pass you by through the large glass windows.
Some train rides I’ve enjoyed:
- Chepe Express, Los Mochis to Creel, México
- Glacier Express, Chur to Zermatt, Switzerland
- Qinghai-Tibet Railway, Chengdu, China to Lhasa, Tibet
