To create, you've got to eat

I think this applies to more than just food. Any creator in any field has to develop their taste by consuming the good stuff, and figuring out what differentiates the good from (the meh and) the bad.
To write, you must read.
To sing, you must listen.
To act, you must watch.
To create, you must eat.
