Replace, not eliminate
We all have things we feel a pull towards despite them not being all the good for us.
Snacks, video games, doomscrolling – the list of vices goes on. We often try to eliminate them in hopes of freeing ourselves from the bad feelings these evoke.
Maybe that works for a bit. But probably not for long…before the slip.
What if instead of cutting out, we replace with something that scratches the itch in some way?
My future experiment is to replace my mindless news consumption on my phone with reading comics on the Marvel Unlimited app instead! At least these are fun and feed the creative part of my mind.
