Let barking dogs lie
A couple of years ago, back when my wife and I had just gotten our puppy, training him was tough.
He'd get into barking phases that we had to wait out till he was quiet and reward him for it. Sometimes, however, it felt like he could go on and on and on and on. It was like he would never stop. But eventually, he did – if only for a moment at first. Over time, the barking reduced greatly in volume and intensity.
Even the barkiest dog will settle at some point.
