Ken Follett suggestions
If you've heard of Ken Follett and were curious about his books, here are some titles to start out with:
- Pillars of the Earth: my favourite title of his; historical fiction at its finest, and you learn about cathedral building too. The trilogy is super worthwhile.
- The Key to Rebecca: a thrilling WWII story featuring the North African theatre of war, German spies and Allied intelligence agents pit their wits against each other
- The Eye of the Needle: working my way through this, but also another WWII story; what if a German spy found out the D-Day plans?
Ken Follett's thrillers you read more for the story than literary merit, but his Kingsbridge series is on another level altogether.
