Investing in a mindset
For the next 2 weeks, I’m going to be on reservist training — back to the green!
This cycle, I’ve been assigned to a new team. The work can be draining and sometimes dreary, but it requires me to use my brain more than my previous role.
Here, I have an opportunity. I can either allow myself to be bogged down by the steep learning curve, or I can see it as a chance to learn how to pick things up fast.
It seems easier to let your default mindset take over, but that costs you energy, time, focus and meaning in the long run. Instead, if you invest your time and effort into practising a more empowering mindset, that can give you a boost in the long run.
But it all starts with the choice to invest.
