Interest brings you far
I listening to Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl series this year, and I'm already almost at the latest book, Book 8. That's nearly 138 hours of listening! In the same time period, however, I've abandoned more than my fair share of critically-acclaimed books. Some of them were too dense while others just didn't sustain my interest.
Once I would have been critical about favouring fun reads over weighty tomes. Now I just go with whatever interests me. And I'm happier for it.
Read what you want and you will read a lot!
