Idli Kadai (2025)
Having heard from some folks that this Dhanush starter was worth a watch, I gave it a go. Man, was I disappointed:
- Tired cliches with hardly any fresh takes
- Almost every actor phoning it in — even the Nitya Menon/Dhashn pairing that worked in Thiruchitrambalam (2022) faltered here
- Uneven dialogue written by Dhanush
- Cartoonish villains and over-the-top noble heroes
This is what happens when a movie doesn’t go beyond mining nostalgia.
