Comics that hit right
Having recently returned to the land of comics, here are a 2 titles that felt satisfying — like a cool drink of water on a sweltering July afternoon in Singapore:
D'Orc, Image Comics — what happens when a half-dwarf, half-orc protagonist, prophesied to bring about the end of the world, is hunted by both the good guys and the bad guys? I've only read Issue #1 so far, but I enjoyed the fantasy+non-superhero feel of the story.
Escape, Image Comics— my favourite war comic of recent times, this world populated by anthropomorphic animals never fails to deliver punch after punch. The art is spectacular which is why I'm reading it as singles, just for the cover art.
