Reflections on blogging experiment
Today marks Day 5, the final day of my tiny blogging experiment!
As promised, here are some things I’ve learnt from my experience:
- Writing earlier in the day is better than later in the day. Excuses and reasons can pile up and get in the way of writing.
- It can be hard to not think about who is or is not reading your writing. It's at times like these that it's important to remember that writing is also an act meant for yourself — to clarify and consolidate your thoughts.
- Hemingway’s advice holds true for me:
The best way is always to stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day … you will never be stuck.
- Curating meaningful ideas from your reading helps you have stuff to write about.
- You don't need to fill up the page — a post can be 1 line, 1000 words or 10,000 words, as long as you say something valuable in the best possible way
✅ Day 5 done
Now that this brief experiment is done, what's next?
In the near-term, I've decided to use this blog as a place to record my experiments, observations and learning. My next experiment?
I will work on the exercises in AI Python for Beginners for 10 minutes daily till 6 July.
For the next one, I plan to post daily progress updates here.
