An experiment
In Tiny Experiments, Anne-Laure Le Cunff encourages us to bring back curiosity in our lives by adopting an experimental mindset. She argues for paying attention to a typical day in our life — Does it feel like something is missing? Is there a desire for something different? Using these observations, we can test ideas for addressing these gaps, with tiny experiments. These experiments feature actions you can take for a specified duration.
For instance, this was my most recently concluded experiment:
I will record at least 2 observations daily for 7 days.
Using ChatGPT to help me connect the dots, I gained insights on a few tendencies and habits I hadn't fully been conscious of. Something I realised I have a tendency to say "I'm tired" in the course of the day.
My new experiment which I’m committing to publicly is this:
I will publish a daily post on this blog for 5 consecutive days till 27 Jun.
Short enough to feel doable, but likely long enough for some insights about my writing process!
I will record my experience with this and share my findings at the end!
