A sense of perspective
What seemed like the common cold, has revealed itself to be...COVID-19!
That explains the frequent chills and body aches, which I don't usually get with a cold
While a part of me was feeling sorry for myself, I found out by accident today, that a good friend of mine had not only lost 2 close family members recently but also had to care for 2 sick children. That quickly put things in perspective. Suffering is not a competition, but a little sense of proportion never hurt anyone.
Contemplating mortality, as the Stoics say, has a way of making you appreciate all that you have.
