3 things I know about living a better life

By now, you probably know that I’m a fan of lists which collect lessons on how to live a good life.

It’s one thing to consume but it’s another to reflect on my own life experiences to draw out lessons that could help someone else.

I’ve set myself a goal of collating 50 things I know about living a better life. This will be a good stretch for me.

For a start, here are 3 things that would appear on my list:

  1. I always relearn this lesson: 99% of the time my fears are worse in my mind than in reality.
  2. When I’m walking my dog, I just walk my dog — no phones, AirPods or other distractions. This helps me be alert and also be present in connecting with my furry friend.
  3. During conflicts, as hard as it can seem in the moment, always choose to be free rather than be right.
