10 things to do instead of doomscroll
I default to the phone when it seems like I don’t have options. But here’s a list of alternatives I wrote down on an index card and placed on my shelf, to remind me that there are always alternatives, when I can choose to:
- Sketch or doodle
- Colour!
- Listen to a favourite song
- Dance to a favourite song
- Sing along to a favourite song
- Read a few pages of a comic book/novel
- Walk around your neighbourhood
- Call a friend or family member
- Take a mini-nap
- Have a snack and stretch break
The list can go on, but the number of other things we can do is > 0!
